This is a great bag for shopping or overnight trips. Finished size is approximately 11 inches deep, 8 inches wide, and 15 inches long. There are six inside pocket openings, and two outside pockets (optional). Included in the pattern are directions for making the cute fabric buds; however, beads can easily be substituted to make jewelry a feature for this unusual bag. Fabric requirements are: 3/8 yd of four fabrics or four fat quarters for the outer bag and pockets, another 1/4 yd or fat quarter for the outside pockets, 1/2 yd of accent fabric for straps, zipper placket and bias binding, plus 1-1/8 yds for the lining.

Shop kimono fabric

The fabrics used in my sample are three solid colors of silk/cotton Radiance (Merlot, honey, and Copper) which were embellished with Paintstik rubbings. The texture was provided by my Fantasy Script stamp, and iridescent paintstik gold, copper and brown colors were used to create this elegant fabric.
