In the Studio Nine Pattern by Lois Ericson
This versatile pattern offers a variety of options, from a simple top design using only one pattern piece
to a jacket that can be worn in several ways. The sample view B illustrates how easy it is to sew strips
of special fabrics together until you have a section large enough for the pattern piece. With no lining,
this short sleeved jacket is perfect for layering in warm weather.
Not having a single piece of fabric large enough is easily solved as illustrated in jacket sample (view c).
Just use a coordinating fabric in a similar weight, and sew strips together as needed.
